What it reads
Section titled “What it reads”- A folder’s files and subfolders, and each item’s name, path, size and modified time.
- Search across file and folder names, and file contents where Dropbox indexes them.
- A file’s saved revisions.
- A file itself, through a short-lived download link.
- The shared links on a file or folder.
What it does not read
Section titled “What it does not read”Nothing is excluded by scope. The connection sees what the person who approved it sees, so connect as someone whose Dropbox holds only what StoriBot should reach.
What it writes
Section titled “What it writes”Each of these is a separate operation you grant or withhold.
- Upload a file from the Stori.
- Create a folder.
- Move or copy a file or folder. Both refuse to overwrite: if the destination exists, the operation fails.
- Restore a file to an earlier revision.
- Create a shared link. With no settings, Dropbox usually makes a public view link.
Irreversible operations
Section titled “Irreversible operations”Granted separately, and only where StoriBot may act unattended.
- Delete a file or folder. Dropbox moves it to the trash, and only you can bring it back, from Dropbox, for at least thirty days.
How you connect it
Section titled “How you connect it”Connect with OAuth. From the Integrations page, choose Connect on Dropbox, tick the operations StoriBot may use, and approve at Dropbox signed in as yourself.
What StoriBot will ask for
Section titled “What StoriBot will ask for”Dropbox’s consent screen lists the scopes the ticked operations need: files.metadata.read and files.content.read for reads, files.content.write for the writes, and sharing.read or sharing.write for shared links. No scope is requested for an operation you did not tick.
Every operation
Section titled “Every operation”These are the names the Integrations page shows beside each tick box, in the order it lists them. Generated from the connector registry; do not edit by hand.
